Salford Development Plan – adopted policies map

The policies map for Salford reflects the spatial policies of the adopted development plan. It is comprised of the Salford Local Plan: Development Management Policies and Designations (SLP:DMP), together with the relevant policies of the Greater Manchester Waste Development Plan Document and the Greater Manchester Minerals Development Plan Document.

The interactive policies map below provides a searchable address facility to identify the relevant development plan policies that apply to any given location within the city. Click on a designation on the map and a pop up box will appear providing further details and a link to the relevant document or webpage. By default the map shows all of the layers from the SLP:DMP, whilst the Minerals and Waste DPD layers are turned off. The Minerals and Waste layers can be turned on using the legend at the top right hand corner of the map.

It is important to note that some locations may also be affected by other local planning policies within adopted supplementary planning documents, planning guidance documents, and development frameworks. However these are not shown on the policies map.

Use the buttons in the top corners to:

  • Zoom iconZoom in or out
  • Search iconSearch for an address
  • Layer switcher iconChange the information that you can see on the map by clicking on the symbol in the top right hand corner of the map. This allows you to switch on and off the proposed site allocations and designations. To view all of allocations and designations on the map click ‘switch all layers and reset map’ at the top of the drop down box.
